Camping matches without alcohol: MA's camping club shows how
On a number of hits and meetings for users of motor homes and caravans, it may be appropriate cheerfully around campfires in the late night hours. From parents and others it come Asked why not arrange soft hits. It makes such MAs (Motorførernes Avholdsforbund) Camping club and Motorhome and Caravan magazine was with.
MAs camping club had Whitsun weekend in 2014 appointed their meeting in combined summer hits and Annual Meeting on Great Sjøsenteret Camping top of Rendalen. As acting chairman Bjarne Eikeland opened the hit Friday night, had around 30 youth of all ages gathered around camping tables ready for one of the club's traditions: Freshly waffles own recipe with accessories. And coffee or mineral water as desired. And yes, it was right cheerfully as the good stories rolled and went from, though, and with the audience. Both the first and the subsequent evenings.
The hit had separate application program with various activities including themed evening, meeting, banquet, lottery, excursion and barbeque with long tables. And, not to forget, horseshoe throwing competition. The intention is to have an offer that everyone can participate in, and also gives a little back, says Svein Skaregrøm, who has long experience in camping club. Several participants are way too eager members of the Norwegian Motorhome and Caravan Club.
Theme meeting was devoted international efforts alcolock, a tool that allows the vehicle can not be put in motion by drivers impaired by alcohol. There is an ongoing international efforts within the EU with the basis for what could become an EU directive that requires alcolocks in commercial vehicles such as buses, taxis, heavy transport vehicles and public service vehicles. This is to ensure transport quality and increased traffic safety. Norway has for several years been represented in this work through organizations such as CENELEC (Academic Committee who is setting the agenda for the European Commission) and Icade (Internationa Council on Alchol and Drug Traffic Safety).
It was shown documentation on how the Norwegian representatives have gained acceptance both within the EU Commission and ICAD for reducing blood alcohol limits and recommendations that transport companies should have alcohol prevention policy with alkolåsbruk. Several were surprised that this important international work has received so little attention in Norway.
Specialty meeting and annual meeting, the stage was set for gala dinner with afterparty in lavo as high Sjøsenteret have. A special lottery committee had been involved in the procurement of gains. Lottery round lasted a good while, and had lots of fun discoveries when gains well was broken and unpacked. The chat went on, and the stories were many, and perhaps some would say better, as dusk replaced the bright evening.
Horseshoes Competition and barbecue evening
The hit was, as it should be, concluded with horseshoe throwing contest and barbecue evening around the long table, for the occasion composed of various camping tables. It was probably some who wondered if the leader of MAs camping club, Bjarne Eikeland, had tyvtrent little horse shoes, for he ran equally well with a clear victory. And then there was the hit of.
The entire gathering was alcohol-free. Did anyone missed anything for it? Hardly. And if someone the unlikely event that the attitude that it was stout, heavy and dreary, so they must just reconsider their attitudes. It was just as enjoyable as any other results we have attended. Nonalcoholic results are not unknown in NBCC, for example, are Child Camping Festival completely alcohol free. So why not join forces to create some soft hits where both children, adolescents and adults can meet? It was the challenge of MAs camping club to NBCC.
