New cooperation agreement for NBCC: Senjatrollet welcomes camping experiences

There is a troll in Senja - the legend says, and in the summer Senjatroll welcomes NBCC members to experiences with a good membership discount, says Stig Rune Marthinsen, central government member, to the Bobil and Caravan Magazine.

Senja boasts of having the world's greatest troll and wizardry. The troll, which runs on Finnsæter in Berg municipality, raises 17,96 meters above the ground and weighs 125 tonnes. It is registered in the Guinness Records Book (1997) and is marketed as the world's largest troll.

The troll park with Senjatrollet opened its doors in 1993. The troll itself builds on an old story, and lies close to the Hulderheimen culture center. The round troll is also a troll park, and inside the troll itself there is a separate adventure world divided into two floors. It is Leif Rubach who stands behind both Senjatrollet and Hulderheimen, which he now runs with his wife, Siw Rubach.

Art Center

In Hulderheimen there are galleries, tinnsmie, handicrafts, jewelry department and sales of souvenirs. Here is also serving food and drinks. The hallway towards Hulderheimen is called the Signature Dragon, and a number of celebrities have left both hand and footprints in the concrete there. In the summer 2007, Senjatroll got his own magic wand, traveled on his left side. The two were devoted by priest John-Daniel Solhaug in front of 1800 in attendance. Senja is not only known for trolls. In 1961, Norway's first female priest, Ingrid Bjerkås, was ordained and became a priest in the Berg and Cod churches.

Troll Visit

The troll park is open from mid May to September, and is an adventure center and tourist attraction on outer Senja in Troms. Visitors can visit a troll father telling stories. A little troll dance is also included. Inside the Troll there are 2 caves with caves built on Senja's old story. At Hulderheimen there is a café, souvenir shop, Norway's largest mug collection and oil paintings made by Trollfar himself. The park has a large car park with a drainage station and fresh water. Members of the NBCC are pleased that the cooperation agreement ensures them a discount on the experiences.
