Managing Director Peter Blomqvist in Adria Scandinavia: Rejects moisture tests taken by parallel importers
Norwegian dealers who run parallel imports of motorhomes and caravans lead the customers behind the light when they claim they can offer the same warranty on density controls as an authorized NCB dealer.
CEO of Adria Scandinavia, Peter Blomqvist is crystal clear on this issue; - "When it comes to humidity tests and the like, we require dealers to take a moisture test on our campers to be trained by Adria. All of our dealers, who are members of NCB, are educated in performing moisture tests and adding these to Adria Mobile's aftermarket system. This is something that Adria requires for the density guarantee to apply, ”- explains Blomqvist. - "If some non-certified dealers perform the moisture test without having been through Adria's training, then it is not approved and will not be included in the guarantee. We have never trained any dealers we do not actively work with. For our part, therefore, their possible moisture tests cannot be approved, since they have not received training on how to perform moisture tests on Adria, ”- concludes CEO of Adria Scandinavia, Peter Blomqvist.
Must go abroad
The same attitude has Lara Fritid AS who is the importer of the brand Hobby in Norway. Perry Breesth in Lara Fritid AS tells about a customer who himself imported a caravan from Germany. The person wanted to buy a moisture measurement service from a Norwegian, approved Hobby dealer, to send the report to the German dealer who has 5 years warranty. The Norwegian Hobby dealer rejected the request. - "All our authorized Hobby dealers, who are members of the NCB, offer annual density control on caravans they have sold to their customers for an extended 5 year-long warranty. In the case mentioned, the person concerned is himself an importer and guarantor in Norway. Thus, the person must relate to the German contract partner, ”- concludes Breesth.
